New Orleans treatment for Guns n’Roses classic
If you’ve ever wondered what Guns n’Roses might sound like if they’d been around in New Orleans in the 1920s, your answer is below.
Postmodern Jukebox is the brainchild of Scott Bradlee, and their album Twist Is The New Twerk, released last month, includes 17 alternative looks at modern tracks.
Their version of GnR’s Sweet Child O’Mine features guest vocalist Miche Braden. Pianist Bradlee explains: “She returned to help us show what it would have sounded like if Bessie Smith had recorded it back in the 20s.
"That note at 3.58 was so powerful that the room shook!"
